Gabe Reynolds and Cullen Chartier are at the Eastern National Finals watching cattle and they talk you through how they would identify cattle to their clients in the show pen. Gabe talks about how its important to remember that not all people are aware of breeds of cattle. Therefore, it can be easier to describe them by shades of color, muddy parts or even hair styles. Cullen also mentions how it’s easy for trainers to become nonchalant when describing cattle. He believes the simpler the description, the easier it is for the whole team to be on the same page.

How I got started: I was working on a three million acre cattle ranch in Australia and one of the hands there would start some colts in exchange for working his cutting horses on an endless supply of fresh cattle.
