Wes Galyean has a plan for each horse when he works them. He wants his horses to be cautious and focused on cattle. In this three-part series, watch how efficiently he gets things done and knows when to quit to set the horse up for a good work the following day. It’s also a great example of having a turnback person who knows where to be on a cow that allows for solid works.

Part 1
Wes works a six year old, thats won in excess of $200,000 and talks about the importance of having your horses stay and draw on their hind end to allow for cleaner turns.
Part 2
Wes works a 3 year old Spots Hot and he wants to feel softness, caution and focus from his horses when they work cattle.
Part 3
This is a 3 year old Dual Rey that can get a little hot if Wes corrects her too much. So he likes to leave her alone as much as possible to allow her to work a few things out on her own.
