Preview: Paul Hansma: How To Teach Yourself To Ride With Your Feet!

(Excuse the vision as it was a foggy morning.) In this three part video series, Paul gives you a great exercise to do at home that forces you to ride with your feet. This exercise also helps a stiff bodied horse get soft. Paul also shows you how to work the flag and why he places markers on either end of the flag to help him hold his line and be even.

How I got started: My dad started our family in 4H. We showed in halter, english and western. Bill Collins and Walter Thiessen were big influences, as well as my dad and Bill Riddle. Biggest mistake I’ve made in cutting: Not trusting my horse enough.
