There was a general feeling of optimism and progress about the National Cutting Horse Association coming from members at the recent annual convention held in Grapevine, TX.
Hundreds of members and national directors from across the country and even overseas attended the 3-day event, which saw many issues addressed such as declining membership, competition rule changes, restructuring of classes and technology investments to name a few.
While some topics at first appeared controversial, many members seemed to come away satisfied with how the NCHA is meeting these challenges head on. Some even went on to say the Association has come a long way from past years where bickering and discord was commonplace.
Cutting Horse Training Online canvassed some of the opinions of members and directors, all of whom said they had a lot of confidence in the leadership and direction of the NCHA, and were excited about the future of cutting. Press play to watch the interviews below.
