Christine and I Cant Tell You Why
Christine Perry has spent all her life on a ranch, but she didn’t get introduced to cutting until later. She was invited to a local pre-work where she got the bug and then purchased her first cutting horse.
Perry has been cutting since 2011 and shows mostly at weekend shows. She has a big pen she can work her horse in and all the fresh cows she wants on her ranch. Not just any cow, she works Brahmas that have a reputation for being wild.
Perry’s favorite memory is going to and making the finals at the Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo in the 15,000 amateur.
Perry said her favorite thing about cutting is reading a cow. Especially when it is one you can control and know what it’s going to do. Since she has spent a lot of time around cows, it has helped her learn how to read cattle in the show pen.
Why Christine Uses CHTO and Get Coached:
“Whenever I go to the show pen or whenever I have questions about what I could have done better, why was my horse not as good through this turn, it helps me [improve] my run. When they are training their horses I get to see what they’re doing. It helps me fix my horse, it helps me understand what is going on and why. When sending the [Get Coached] video in, I thought it was too much but then I [realized] this is what I need to do. That’s the part I like, they need to see what you’re doing and [Get Coached] is the best opportunity. Put the video in and have them critique you.”
