Preview: Wayne Robinson: Calming a Frightened Colt

Horsemanship at its finest. Wayne shows how to avoid a potentially dangerous situation while building confidence in a frightened mare. Though the mare appears to be OK with the saddle, etc, Wayne knows better. What’s interesting, the horse Wayne is roping from is his 3 year old he just won $15,000 on at this year’s (2012) NCHA Futurity in the Limited division. We apologize for the sound quality, it was a terribly windy day.

Part 1
Wayne works with a breaker that is very unsure about a lot of things and he wants the filly to go forward in a good frame of mind. If she doesn't he will stop her and start over again.
Part 2
Wayne ropes a hind foot to over expose her a little, and to let her know its OK to let him have control of her feet.
Part 3
Getting on for her second ride. Making sure she is prepared mentally, with Wayne still having control of her feet.
