We all need to know how to turn our horses around with our feet whilst our hand is down! Yes, this is a button and it’s needed at times when we might be in a situation where our horse needs support or direction when the cow has turned away from us and the horse is unsure of where to go. Morgan demonstrates a great way for you and your horse to learn together on how to do this. By using the poles, it helps stop any forward momentum during the turn and how much leg/foot pressure is required from you to turn your horse.

How I got started: When I was 11 years old, I had some family friends Carlos and Kathy Fandino that owned some horses with Russ Westfall. They let me ride my first cutting horse (I used to ride hunter jumpers beforehand!). He was a Docs Oak gelding named Acorn Chex.
