With Jason’s working cow horse background he defines and demonstrates why he desires collection, as he works 3 year olds. At this time of the year (June) his main objective is to build the horse’s confidence and to be aware of the horse’s thought process when working a cow. He explains why he moves the horse’s hip to help soften the cow and to create a better connection with the cow. All this is done whilst working slowly and no one turning back for him.

How I got started: I grew up in California. Dad was a trapper who had a 3,500 mile radius area that he controlled. In that circular region, there were multiple cow horse trainers, lots of legends such as Greg Ward, Bobby Ingersoll, also the best cutter, Leon Harrell.
