Jamie Snider

Jamie has been around cattle his whole life having grown up in Weldona, Colorado where his family were ranching and trading cattle. His passion for cattle and horse’s began early on, traveling with his father Larry to cuttings showing in the youth when they had horse’s in training with Jim Mapes and then Lloyd Cox. In the Summer holidays Larry would take Jamie down to Lloyd’s place in Fort Morgan Co, to watch and help Lloyd and so began his great friendship with Lloyd. Having completed his degree in Agricultural Business at the University Of Wyoming he then worked for Lloyd for seven and half years. Lloyd’s influence on Jamie’s horsemanship and training program is clearly evident as you watch the simplicity and softness in the way he works horse’s. Jamie and his wife Ashley now live at Rising Star Texas where he train’s for the public and has won in excess of $1.3 million dollars and won two major aged events in the illustrious Will Rogers Coliseum.
