How I got started: I went to work for Graham Amos (Mouse) when I was 15. Then I went to work for Donald Gunn and that’s really where I learned how to show. After that I came to the states and worked for Gary Gonsalves in ‘95. I then went to train for Joe Montana for four years. After that I bought my ranch and went out on my own.
Biggest mistake I’ve made in cutting: The biggest mistake I’ve made is getting too focused on horse training and losing sight of being a good horseman.
Biggest myth about cutting: The biggest myth in cutting is that it’s easy. It may be simple but it is not easy!
Favorite quote: “If you’re afraid to lose you can never be a winner.” – Joe Montana
Most memorable moment in cutting: The first time I made the Futurity finals on Sues Barn Cat.
Training Philosophy: Try to train every horse to the best of its ability but being aware of its limitations.
