Preview: Lee Francois: Correctness and Efficiency

Lee Francois creates expressive horses and wants to keep his connection with the cow as much as possible when training. In the first video, Lee focuses on cleaning the shoulders up with his horse so he can be more efficient in the turn. And in the second video Lee wants to focus on keeping his horse straight in the stop and stay up into the cow as he travels with the cow across the arena.

Part 1
Lee wants to clean the shoulders up with this horse but doesn't want to get his horse too bound up in the bridle because it may restrict the horse too much from turning efficiently.
Part 2
Lee focuses on keeping the horse's body straight in the stop and wants to keep his connection with the cow by making sure his horse doesn't get too flat as he travels across the arena with the cow.

Trainers in this Video

How I got started: My father trained horses. Then I went to work for Kobie Wood when I was 17. Biggest mistake I’ve made in cutting: I don’t think I’ve made any mistakes. I would consider all of them learning experiences.
