    How I got started: Family tradition.

    Biggest mistake I’ve made in cutting: Too many too list. I make them everyday.

    Biggest myth about cutting: That it’s all the horse when you drop your hand.

    Favorite quote: “Perseverance through adversity.”

    Most memorable moment in cutting: Winning the futurity was awesome in 2012 but the 2014 NCHA Futurity comes to mind because the Rice’s had seven horses make the semi-finals and five made the finals.

    Training philosophy: Figure out what each horse will do, can do and build on that. Try not to worry about what they can’t do.
