Preview: Steve Oehlhof: How To Cow Up Your Two Year Olds!

Steve has noticed that a lot of young trainers get their two year olds too bound up and aren’t really moving and flowing with the cow or flag. He shows you an easy way to teach your horse to flow with a cow keeping it all simple.

Categories: Training, Two Year Olds.
Part 1
Steve explains why circles teach horses to turn! He demonstrates why backing horses up too early in their career inhibits the turn and why it doesn't allow the horse to cow up.
Part 2
Steve demonstrates on the flag how to stop and turn your horse to help create a rhythm, making it one fluid move. He explains if you're constantly backing and shaping your horse you are inhibiting the turn and taking the cow out of your horse because it's too difficult.
