Preview: Inside the Judges Stand Amateur Event
Russell McCord critiques seven Amateur runs from a Judge’s perspective and explains how they got their score. He helps you identify what they are looking for such as:
* Herd work
* Eye appeal
* Working time
* Working in middle third of arena
* Length of reins
Russell comments on the first four runs and explains why they scored a 70, 69, 67 and 65. There are runs here where some horses are not holding their stops, pushing on a cow and hot quits. Russell explains how this can affect your score.
This video has the remaining three Amateur runs, scoring a 72, 72.5 and 73. Russell talks about credit earning cuts, quitting a cow in the centre of the pen and horses waiting on the cow.
