Austin Shepard gives participants at the NCHA Cutting Academy held in Texarkana, TX, advice on their cuts. In this three part series with Austin you will learn:
1. Why it’s essential to keep your hand low and pointed forward whilst making your cut
2. How to enter the herd according to where you draw in the set
3. How to cut shape
4. How to put your selected cow in the right position to cut clean

As a bonus we also here from Austin on how he likes to develop a stop in his horses.

Have your hand low and pointed forward at the cow whilst making your cut! Austin discusses why you should do this and drive forward with your feet to help you clear traffic as you're making a cut.
